Stacey Ruberg, MA, LMHC
WonderSpace Director and BLUE Coordinator
Stacey is a graduate of IWU and has over 25 years of experience as a mental health counselor and non-profit leader. She joined Team WonderSpace in 2024 to help launch the BLUE peer grief support program with the belief that no one should grieve alone. Stacey and her husband are launching two young adults into the world and the family attends College Wesleyan.
Katherine Kelly, MS
EDU Coordinator
With a master’s degree from IWU in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Katherine has over twelve years of experience in both public and private education settings. In previous jobs, she has served as both a teacher and administrator. She is passionate about literacy and equitable access to learning. You’ll often find her reading to her two young daughters when she’s not on the water with her family in the summer!
Lejona Lorenz
PLAY Coordinator
Lejona is also an alumnus of IWU. She loves inspiring parents to play and learn alongside their children. Lejona homeschools her own daughters through Classical Conversations. You’ll frequently see Lejona’s whole family serving at WonderSpace as well as other ministries of College Wesleyan where they attend.
Stephanie Freemyer
Founding Advisor
Our founder, Stephanie, is active in projects, expansions, and innovation plans for WonderSpace. She is passiontate about improving childhood well being in Grant County through play. Her boys were the original WonderSpace kids as the family set up those early pop-up playdates beginning in 2019.
Kelsey Conrad
Events Coordinator
Kelsey has a keen eye for detail, ensuring special events are seamlessly planned and executed. In addition, she serves as an administrative assistant for Splash Children’s Ministry at College Wesleyan. Kelsey and her family reside in Marion, where her children are proud Marion Giants.
